Sulyk Architects designed a temporary shelter for Ukrainians, who were forced to leave their homes. First two houses will be located in Lviv, in the green housing area. Women with children and the pregnant ones will find a temporary home in these houses. New temporary homes will be ready to move in on 14th of July.
The project is developed in cooperation with Lviv City Council.

We are glad to be awarded a first prize for the Dnister Hotel Reconstruction project.
Dnister Hotel is a valuable example of local architecture of the 70th. Architects were able to implement some extraordinary facade design elements, despite the tough government and economic realities of the time. The Hotel has a unique location in the central part of Lviv, on top of the park and close to the St. George's Cathedral. Visual presence and the image of the buliding is quite significant. The facade has a particular structure and a color code. So the reconstruction proposal was decided to be very soft and delicate.
First of all the building is cleaned from layers of random inclusions. The old structure is replaced with a new one, keeping the existing window width and a partitions module. New structure provide more a cleaner look with less visible joints. Color inserts are replaced with softer toned ones. The new cover of the unused parking entrance is the part of the renovation brief. It is formed by a round shifted slab with plants on top. This entrance will lead to the underground hotel public area.

Sulyk Architects has won the competition for the club housing complex in one of the most attractive architecture areas of Lviv. On Tuesday, 8 February the jury, chaired by Lviv head architect Anton Kolomyeytsev, selected our project from a total of 15 entries from ukrainian architecture practices. Avalon Inc will develop the building complex between Konovalvya and Hipsova street. The design reflects the proportions and low-rise scale of the surrounding area. Winning proposal revitalizes the existing villa from 1924, merging it with the in-block area.

В грудні 2021 року спільно з міським комунальним підприємством "Львівводоканал" та Львівською міською радою затверджено концепцію екологічно-освітнього павільйону "Еко Хаб" на вул. Пластовій у Львові. Павільйон передбачає робочий простір та конференц зал для презентацій та проведення екологічно орієнтовнаних ініціатив. Згідно концепції, в Еко Хабі можна буде ознайомитись з процесом очистки води у Львові, а сам павільйон слугуватиме платформою для демонстрації використання альтернативних джерел енергії в будівництві. Об'єм Еко Хабу формується дерев'яним каркасом та заскленням по периметру. Ззовні павільйон обрамлює накрита склом галерея для додаткового сонцезахисту.
В дворі планується встановлення окремої конструкції-вежі для огляду території сміттєпереробного заводу. Вежа буде змонтована з промислового риштування, яке в процесі життя обростатиме рослинністю та перетвориться в зелену конструкцію, тим самим демонструючи переважаючу силу природних процесів над спорудою.
Завершення проекту заплановане на початок 2022 року.
В дворі планується встановлення окремої конструкції-вежі для огляду території сміттєпереробного заводу. Вежа буде змонтована з промислового риштування, яке в процесі життя обростатиме рослинністю та перетвориться в зелену конструкцію, тим самим демонструючи переважаючу силу природних процесів над спорудою.

The new Lviv Prison facility will be the first humane and resocializing prison in Ukraine. The architecture has to support the inmates’ mental and physical well-being and a pleasant workplace for employees.
The concept is based on "art therapy". All the buildings and the aera are designed to be calm and simple. The idea is to convert the inner yards to the space for exposing art, giving a space a whole new meaning and feelings. As the national planning regulations are quite stricked, we decided to develop the physical form and a landscape design in a way, that ot would shift the accent from the buildings to the space.
Closed boxes for outdoor activities are covered with different materials, converting them from a bold functional box to a design element or an installation. The whole space between the prison blocks is filled with sculptural elements and local landscapes, put in the right places to be visually seen from all the buildings.
We believe that such place can evoke a better self in the prisoners and transfrom their energy and thoughts from antisocial to art.

For the last few months, our team has been working on housing projects outside the city, exploring the connection between the different small housing typology and the natural environment. The main research topics are the house planning that fits in the open natural environment and the evolution of the local regional housing into a modern ukrainian architecture. After few months of design process, finally the landcsape works has started. According to the design, most of the plot will look like a natural lawn, covered with grass and herbs.

On the 25th of September Sulyk Architects presented a competition project for the Preservation of Uspenskyi Cathedral remains in Krylos and a new masterplan for the Galych Museum area.
We are very pleased that our proposal won the open all-Ukrainian competition!
Project presentation was held at the Galych Community Center. It was so nice to see such an interest from the community and administration of Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions, representatives of religious communities, local authorities, architects and all the visitors. Thank you for your interest!

We are sharing the pictures of the "iDeals" company office interior. This project has become a nice example of working with a tight schedule and low-budget solutions. The total area of almost 1000 sq.m. has been completely redesigned in 4 months including project and construction phase.
